Information in this document applies to any platform.
Checkout process cannot be completed and orders cannot be replaced regardless of OOTB widget or custom widget usage. Mandatory field error occurs but you will see that all fields are filled out correctly. This did not happen in 17.6 but began happening in 18b.
Recently upgraded to 18b.
