Auto Creation of Records Triggered By BP Creator Is Being Stalled at the Initiation Step (I-Step) (Doc ID 2410284.1)

On Unifier : Any Version : Unifier User Mode

When records are auto created by way of Line Item to Record creation they are not bypassing the Initiation Step (I-Step).

Using the proper creation method, records should move past the I-Step and be assigned to the User(s) at the next step in the workflow.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Using one Business Process (BP) that is designed with a BP Creator in the Detail Form for Line Item to Record creation
  2. Create the source record, populate the required fields and ensure a Line Item is added to the record
  3. Click on the Send (for workflow) or Save (for non-workflow) button
  4. Notice that the destination record was auto-created but did not bypass the I-Step as expected
  5. Open the destination record notice that there are required Data Element (DE) fields in the upper form that were not auto-populated from the source as expected

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, destination records are not bypassing the I-Step as expected and additional user action must be taken.
