'ID has invalid value' Error When Attempting to Create a New Record

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When partner users, (either on the web or in the mobile app) create a new record, the system automatically fills in the field creator_id when the record is sent.
In the App, when a user tries to send the record at a later step they receive the following error:
Unable to update Business Process record.
Field: creator_id has invalid value: <user name>. (where <user name> Is the partner user's screen name)
