Manage Mass Addition Split Edit Source Lines (Doc ID 2414764.1)

Last updated on JUNE 24, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Assets Cloud Service - Version 11.12.1.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

After the split, User has 'n' mass addition lines. The original line now has a queue name of Split and can't be made into an asset. The 'n' new lines have a queue name of On Hold and can become assets.
The original line remains as an audit trail after the split. The resulting split mass additions appear with one unit each and with the same existing information from the source system.
It is noted that with the 'n' new lines that are created in the Mass Addition queue the 'Cost' value can be updated but the VAT remains locked.

e.g.
 Invoice with value of 58,891 and VAT (Tax) of 10753.50 split into 3 lines.
The resultant split is approximately 19630.34 with tax of 3584.50 repeated 3 times.
After the 'Split' User can update the Cost of a record e.g. from 19,630.34 to 25,000; this might be required to adjust the weighting of cost applied to each line.
If the Cost is updated it would be expected that the VAT would update to reflect the new line value. In this example if the Cost value increases to 25,000 there would be an increase of 980.50 for VAT for this line and a reduction of the same amount pro-rated over the remaining lines.
Therefore expectation as follows;
If Cost of a split line is modified the Tax should update for the line in question and the change in tax amount should be offset by a reduction prorated against lines as yet unprocessed.
