Not Able To Place Order Due To Missing Required Property in Tax Settings (Doc ID 2415492.1)

When placing an order using the option for making the payment through "invoice", the order is failing. In the storefront the below error can be seen:

This error also occurred on a multi-site environment only for the non-default sites for credit card payment

Also in the logs shared by the operations team the error can be seen as: Missing required property: region
