Shipping Groups Information Dissapears from Order during Split Shipping Checkout (Doc ID 2416263.1)

Shipping groups deleted from order

We are using the generic payment gateway and have split shipping enabled.

We are losing shipping information from orders in the checkout process from time to time.

Not to lose the shipping address

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Add multiple items to our basket that are in different shipping groups.
2.Go to checkout
3.On OCCS the order is submitted.
4.From OCCS a request is made to the generic payment gate and a response is recieved.At this point the order in OCCS looks to be correct.The customer is redirected to the remote site
5.Then a customer enters their credit card information on the remote site and they are transferred back to OCCS.

6.Before any bespoke code is run on the frontend the OCCS order appears to be being updated and the shipping group information is missing

This sometimes happens and sometimes does not.
