Symptoms

Using Create Set in MDX query crashes application and generates an exception (xcp) file. 

a) Create a test set using following command:

CREATE SET [TESTSET] AS
'{[Product].[100],[Product].[200]}'

b) Use the Set in the MDX query as below:

SELECT
{[Measures].[Sales]} ON ROWS,
HIERARCHIZE([TESTSET]) ON COLUMNS
FROM [Samplle].[Basic]

c) Application crashes and XCP file will be created. 

 

Changes

Create Set function used to work in Essbase v11.1.2.3.  After migrating to Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), the application is crashing.
