Symptoms

How to configure a Windows instance on OCI-C to allow Windows file sharing access.

Changes

NOTE:

- The remote client is connecting to OCI-C over the public internet.
- The OCI-C Windows instance had a public IP on the shared network so under "Shared Network".
- The OCI-C Windows instance is also associated with the default Security List which has a Inbound policy of Deny and Outbound policy of permit
- If the remote clients are accessing the OCI-C Windows instance over a VPN and/or FastConnect link that terminates in the "IP Network" (i.e., the instance's private IP address) the procedure will be different.
