Object workflow does not invoke groovy script

We've configure an object workflow on Contact object (see screenshot).
This workflow must invoke a Groovy Script that call an outbound web service (REST). The same grovy code in a trigger work fine.
Workflow is triggered by condition and we've added a "Field update action" for testing purpose.
When contact is updated with this condition
if ( ( CreatedBy!='XXXX' || LastUpdatedBy!='XXXX') ) {
return true
else {
  return false

the field is updated accordingly to Field Update Action but nothing appears in "Run Time Messages".
The function in Groovy is
println("Starting calling notify update service")
println("End of call to update service")
