Service Request Audit history not showing new created SRs (Doc ID 2424394.1)

Symptoms

Customer enabled audit for Service Request Object. The Audit History tab is also exposed in the UI and we they have set the Service Request security to custom roles to View Audit History details. The issue is that when they Create a new Service Request, this is not logged in the Audit as supposed to. If the SR is edited it will show up in the Audit. But if it's only created, customer cannot see it in Audit. How can this be resolved?
