When attempting to create a connection from Data Visualization Desktop (DVD) to your Primavera Analytics cloud environment which is configured with SAML authentication (reference, Enabling Federated Identity Single Sign-On (SSO) Through SAML 2.0 For Primavera Products Hosted In Oracle Cloud (Doc ID 2087067.1)) , the following error occurs:
Failed to save the connection. Invalid username / password.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Open Oracle Data Visualization Desktop
- Click Create > Connection > Oracle Application
- Fill in required fields for connecting to your Analytics cloud offering
- Click Save
- Note the failure which occurs
