Location Lock Code Removed Unexpectedly When User Cancels Cycle Count Adjustment Record (Doc ID 2428611.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 15, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Warehouse Management Enterprise Edition Cloud Service - Version 8.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The system automatically removes the lock code on a cycle count when the user choose to cancel cycle count admustment.  Begin creating a cycle count adjustment record, and cancel the adjustment record using the 'Cancel' button from cycle count adjustment UI.  The system automatically removes the lock code for which the cycle count adjustment record was generated.

Steps to Replicate:

1. Select a location with SAPC lock code applied on it.

2. Cycle count that location using RF "Cycle count- Enter qty" transaction

3. Navigate to cycle count adjustment UI, select the record and hit the 'Cancel' button located at top of the screen

4. Navigate to locations UI, search for the location and the location lock code is removed automatically.

Canceling the cycle count adjustment record should not remove the lock code.  After the lock is removed, some other user performs putaway to the same location.  The system does not generate the desired set of IHT codes and the integration layer does not recognize the IHT codes.  This can cause inventory discrepancy in both LogFire and the host system.
