For the purposes of this document, the following fictitious environment is used as an example

Database Name  = STBY
Directory =  /u01/app/oracle/oradata and all subdirectories

 

Test case

 

>> Before switchover of the target standby we see (MRP stopped):

SQL> select * from v$recover_file;

no rows selected

SQL> select con_id, fenum, festa, fecpc from x$kccfe where con_id=2;

    CON_ID      FENUM      FESTA      FECPC
  ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------
            2          5       4102         16

SQL> select con_id, fhfno, fhsta, fhccc, fhcpc from x$kcvfh where con_id=2;

>> After switchover of the target standby (now primary) we see:
