Trying to identify external DNS resolution traffic coming from Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic (OCI-C) Compute-based service instance VM (e.g. Compute, DBaaS, JCS) cannot be made with confidence just from within the instances.

Failure to completely identify traffic originating from OCI-C Compute instances using source IP addresses, and the method chosen to identify traffic for traffic steering, can lead to unexpected results (sometimes answered correctly, sometimes not) if having DNS horizons.
