OAC: An Analysis Fails With ORA-01017 Error When The Data Model Is Built On A Connection As The SYS User (Doc ID 2431567.1)

Symptoms

1. Create a Connection to a Database instance, connecting as the SYS user
    For example:  Login to OAC (/dv/ui) > Navigator > Console > Connections > New Connection ... Connect As: SYS AS SYSDBA

2. Create a Data Model via the Thin Client Modeller (TCM), using the Connection created
    For example:  Login to OAC (/dv/ui) > Navigator > Data > Page Menu > Manage Models > Create Model ... Select the Connection above

3. Create an Analysis on the Data Model, once the design is completed
    For example:  Login to OAC (/dv/ui) > Open Classic Home > New - Analysis ... Select columns etc.

4. Navigate to the Results tab to run the Analysis, and see the following error is thrown:

State: HY000. Code: 43119. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: (HY000)
State: HY000. Code: 17025. [nQSError: 17025] Oracle Error code: 1017, message: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied at OCI call OCISessionBegin. (HY000)
State: HY000. Code: 17014. [nQSError: 17014] Could not connect to Oracle database. (HY000)
