Hosts in Virtual Server Settings And X-forwarded Header Not Able to Route the Request
(Doc ID 2432296.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 12, 2022
Applies to:
Java Cloud Service - Version 14.1 to 14.1Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Configuring an Oracle Traffic Director in Java Cloud Service.
Should be able to define a host pattern in Virtual Server -> Hosts. The documentation describes the term host patterns, but not what/How it is.
If we try to enter a pattern: *. It throws an error "OTD-68556 Host name or IP address is invalid"
However below it seems like it works:
HOSTS = HOST1.DOMAINNAME, HOST2,DOMAINNAME, HOST3.DOMAINNAME
But If the subdomain to be whatever e.g., HOSTS = *.DOMAINNAME
Is that not possible and at the same time do not need to enter a static list of subdomain.domain?
2. Under Virtual Server -> Routes -> Parameters Forwarded to Origin Server cannot find the header x-forwarded-proto on the list.
Need this info to be forwarded as well - is that possible?
