 'Generate Adjustments Instead of Lock Code Records'

On the lock code screen there is a parameter to 'Generate Adjustments Instead of Lock Code Records'? Does this parameter adjust inventory out of the system instead of a lock code inventory history transaction. For example, if I were to lock a LPN with a lock with this parameter would it adjust the inventory out of the system instead of generating a 22 or 23 Lock Container inventory history transaction. If not, what does this parameter do?
