Symptoms

When you execute "/var/opt/oracle/bkup_api/bkup_api list" to show available backups, you may find old backup which exceeds backup retention window. This symptom can be seen typically if backup configuration is Cloud Storage Only.

Here is an example. Usually we can see a clean backup list which Backup Tag are sorted by Completion Date(UTC).

Mon, 19 Feb 2018 11:29:44 ----------------------   -----------------------      -----------    --------
Mon, 19 Feb 2018 11:29:44    TAG20180219T021901     02/18/2018 17:19:01      incremental        False
Mon, 19 Feb 2018 11:29:44    TAG20180219T031904     02/18/2018 18:19:04      incremental        False
Mon, 19 Feb 2018 11:29:44    TAG20180219T041851     02/18/2018 19:18:51      incremental        False
Mon, 19 Feb 2018 11:29:44    TAG20180219T051828     02/18/2018 20:18:28      incremental        False
Mon, 19 Feb 2018 11:29:44    TAG20180219T061901     02/18/2018 21:19:01      incremental        False
Mon, 19 Feb 2018 11:29:44    TAG20180219T071847     02/18/2018 22:18:47      incremental        False

However, TAG20180218T232420, TAG20180219T011848 and TAG20180219T021901 still remain in the list despite TAG20180219T031904 and other Tags were deleted according to backup retention window.
