Unable to Add/Select a Line Item Using a BP Line Item Picker Type Data Element

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When the user tries to add/select a Line Item from a Business Process (BP) record using a BP Line Item Picker type Data Element, with new UI either disabled or enabled, no Line Item is returned.
The Line Items should be returned to the picker window.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Using either New or Classic UI, go to Shell > BP.
- Click Create.
- Click Add.
- Select the record and click Open.
- Note there are no Items to choose from and the page is blank.
