Error: "java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-01745: invalid host/bind variable name" When Executing the 'Publish Enterprise Data' Global Scheduled Service (Doc ID 2440713.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run the "Publish Enterprise Data" Global Scheduled Service, the job's status shows as FAILED and the following error occurs in the <P6 EPPM home>\p6\WebAccessLogs\services\jt_enterprise\<date-time>_FAILED.log file:

SEVERE: <date time>:[TASK]:[PxServiceCalendarSqlWriter]: [5] CORE(BRE): Failed to update calendar: <calendar ID>
SEVERE: <date time>:[TASK]:[PxServiceCalendarSqlWriter]: [5] CORE(BRE): ORA-01745: invalid host/bind variable name

The issue only occurs for an Oracle Database.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Run the "Publish Enterprise Data" Global Scheduled Service
  2. Note the job status changes to FAILED.
  3. View the reported error in the log file.
