On : 11.13.18.02.0 version, Technology Management - Reports/Analytics

When scheduling a report via SMTP server/email option


ERROR

oracle.xdo.delivery.DeliveryException: javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host: smtp.oracleoutsourcing.com, port: 555;

nested exception is:

java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused (Connection refused)

oracle.xdo.service.delivery.DeliveryException: oracle.xdo.delivery.DeliveryException: javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host: smtp.oracleoutsourcing.com, port: 555;

nested exception is:

java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused (Connection refused)

at oracle.xdo.service.delivery.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to BI server
2. Schedule a report to a recipient via email
3. Schedule fails with the aforementioned error.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot schedule reports via SMTP/Email server.
