Patching through the JCS interface is not allowed when the system has an upper-stack product installed.
An upper-stack product is defined as any product which makes a change to the MW_HOME directory including writing to the Oracle central inventory. These products include (but are not limited to) WebCenter Portal and WebCenter Sites.
