Special Characters Are Garbled When Exporting Record Information With "Export To CSV" Option (Doc ID 2442856.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When exporting Business Process (BP) record information using the "Export to CSV" option, special characters (such as '<', '>', '&', etc.) are corrupted.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Special characters in the exported CSV file should be retained without modification.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to Unifier.
  2. Access any BP record that contains special characters.
  3. Export the data to CSV format.
  4. View the CSV file contents, note the corrupted special characters.
