Symptoms

When attempting to update a column in a Material Inventory Manager Sheet, the following generic system error is displayed:

ERROR

The system could not process your request. Logging in again may help in some cases. Contact your System Administrator if you are still having problems.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
-----------------------
The following error can be seen in the Unifier.log file:

ExecuteThread: '1' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] ERROR Target.Exception ~7361978626174166809~ unifier:/studio/manager/sheets/config/column/edit/ok throws an exception at file:///studio/manager/action.xml:1291: ~ file:///studio/manager/action.xml:1300: java.lang.NullPointerException

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to a project/shell that uses the Material Manager Inventory Sheet.
  2. Open the Material Inventory Manager log.
  3. Open the Sheet.
  4. Click on the Column button and select the desired column to update.
  5. Change the value as desired and click OK. Observe the system error.
