Error 'The Configuration Package contains an exception' and 'ORA-28001: the password has expired' When Attempting to Publish BPs to Production (Doc ID 2447954.1)

When attempting to publish a Business Process (BP) that was completed and deployed, the following error occurs.

The Configuration Package contains an exception. Contact your System Administrator

The following event was also captured in the Unifier debug log:

Exception: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-28001: the password has expired


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Company Workspace.
  2. Open Configuration Package Management.
  3. Go to Configuration Packages.
  4. Create the package:
    1. Enter the Package Name.
    2. Enter the File Name.
    3. Select one or more component lists.
  5. Click Next.
  6. View the reported error.
