Ship Load Transaction (OB Loads Screen) Does Not Warn User Of Short Order (Doc ID 2448389.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 15, 2019

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Ship Load transaction (OB Loads screen) Does Not Warn User of Short Order.  Is there a way to accomplish this?

Example:
When an order has detail lines that are not packed 100%, how to warn the user of this prior to shipping the OB Load?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Set the Order Type parameter for "Single Order on multiple Loads" to either "Allow with warning" or "Do not allow".
2. Ship an OB Load that is not 100% packed.  WMS simply ships the OB Load out without any pop-up. The user will not know they are shorting on the outbound shipment.
NOTE:  It is not valid to use "Partial allocation" set to "No", because the user will want to be able to wave short and then pick shorts when the inventory is available at a later time.
