Need to Be Able to Select Multiple Purchase Orders for Inbound (IB) Shipment (Doc ID 2448785.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 26, 2019

Goal

Currently, the system does not have an efficient method for creating a single advanced shipment notification (ASN) from multiple purchase orders (PO).
There is no easy way to combine POs into a single ASN in the UI.
Need to be able to select multiple purchase orders for inbound shipments (IB).
Need to be able to convert multiple purchase orders into an ASN.

Note the following details of the enhancement request:
In the purchase order screen, the user should be able to convert a single purchase order into an IB Shipment/ASN or individual details in a PO into an IB Shipment/ASN.
Ideally the user should be able to select multiple PO headers and hit the IB Shipment button to convert them into a single ASN.
When multiple PO headers are selected (with shift), the IB Shipment button would then add all of those POs to the new IB Shipment that is created.

This would then allow the end users to create a multi-PO ASN without having to use spreadsheets or the API.

Currently, a workaround will be utilized that involves two step sorting. A system enhancement would reduce the number of operations needed in the facility while properly maintaining the necessary records in WMS.

-- Business Need
It is making the process of retaining and utilizing existing data more difficult. Need to reduce unnecessary intermediate steps, especially since combining purchase orders manually is very time consuming.
