Symptoms

When opening a file in AutoVue using the Firefox browser, the following error occurs.

Unifier cannot connect to the AutoVue server. You may be missing the required certificate. To attain the certificate and instructions go to View Help menu in Unifier and click Download Plugins

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to Unifier.
  2. Open a Shell.
  3. Open Documents.
  4. Open a file listed in the folder.
  5. A Security Warning displays; click Accept to run.
  6. AutoVue Launch runs - AutoVue is waiting for a browser connection.
  7. View the reported error.
