Unable To Update Records Of Employee (Doc ID 2452325.1)

When attempting to update the record of promotion for employee, the following error occurs.

Error occurred while displaying History tree table. Error in evaluating routing slip. Check the underlying exception and correct the error in the routing slip.

JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: java.lang.RuntimeException, msg=oracle.jbo.TooManyObjectsException: JBO-25013: Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.Key[ ] cause: {null}

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Person Management.
2. Search for the employee.
3. On Manage Employment page, click on Edit > Update.
4. On Update Employment pop-up, select the effective start date  , select action as promotion and action reason as promote. Click on Ok.
5. Click on review page and upon expanding the approvers section, the above error is triggered.
