Creating a Project in Oracle Analytics on an Existing Data Set Fails with 500 - Internal Server Error and Nonexistent Column Error (Doc ID 2455119.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.


There exists an Oracle Applications connection to /analytics for the same instance.

There exists a Data Set on that connection with columns / tables from a Subject Area in the RPD (Data Model).

In Data > Data Sets > Click on the Data Set to create a new Project. See the following error is thrown:-

It looks like we did something wrong. Please try again, but if the problem persists know that we are trying hard to make the product perfect.

500 - Internal Server Error. Please try again in a few moments

In the obis1-diagnostic.log file, the following error is observed:-

In Data > Data Sets > Click on the Data Set and select Edit from the menu. See all columns and results display, with no errors thrown.
