Issue With Echo Suppression On Oracle Sales Cloud Events

Information in this document applies to any platform.
For the following setup, an issue with the OIC Integration subscribing to OSC Contact/Account Events (Create/Update Type) is being seen.
i. receive on Create events for Contact or Organization
ii. create Contact or Organization into Oracle Service Cloud (OSvC)
iii. create new Original System Reference (with OrigSystem as RNOW) back on OSC associated with the same Owner Table ID received in step i.
There is another set of OIC integrations which:
i. receive On Update events for Contact or Organization
ii. update the details into Oracle Service Cloud (OSvC) and end the flow.
When a new Contact (or Organization) on OSC is created, an event is received on OIC and create new Contact (or Organization) into OSvC and create new Original System Reference (with OrigSystem as RNOW) back on OSC.
Also an update event is received on OIC instance for the Contact (or Organization).
How can the setup be modified that we do not receive the On Update Event for the Contact (or Organization), when we are creating the new Original System Reference from On Create Event based OIC Integration?
