Account Advanced Search with Name Contains option is not returning accounts. (Doc ID 2456866.1)

Symptoms

On : 11.1.8.0.0 version, Accounts, Contacts, Households

Account Advanced Search with Name Contains option is not returning accounts.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Sign-on to Sales Cloud application
2. Navigate to Sales > Accounts
3. Click the Advanced Search icon
4. Set options Record Set Equals All records I can see, Name Contains xxxxxxxx; the search results shows "No results found."

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot search with Contains on Name.
