"Remote Region error #1" Error When Attempting To Delete Child Category (Doc ID 2458252.1)

Symptoms

Customer has a child category that they have made inactive but it still appears as an option for Category in Service Requests.  When they attempt to delete this Category, they get this error message:

Unable to retrieve content. Additional information for "Remote Region error #1":

An error occurred while invoking task Manage Service Request Categories. Review the FunctionalSetupServer logs for more details on this error. Contact your help desk.
