'The System Could Not Process Your Request...' and 'ORA-01722: Invalid Number' When Clicking on a User Data Picker After Upgrading to Unifier 18.8.1 (Doc ID 2458775.1)

After upgrading to Unifier 18.8.1, Data Pickers (User PK) is displaying the following generic system error when clicked.

The system could not process your request. Logging in again may help in some cases. Contact your System Administrator if you are still having problems.

The following exception can be found in the Unifier.log file:

Error Msg = ORA-01722: invalid number at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CTTIoer11.processError(
[wrapped] java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-01722: invalid number

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Identify a Data Picker (User PK) on a Business Process form.
  2. Open an existing BP record or create a new record.
  3. Click the Select button next to the Data Picker.
