Symptoms

On : 11.13.18.05.0 version, Leads, Sales Campaigns

calling External API fails after applying 18.0.5

After applying 18.0.5 patch , calling External API fails with the below exception. The same API call works fine via Postman and we don't even see the request reaching OIC from OSC. This is failing in both stage and production

THIS IS A BLOCKER.

ERROR

Error:oracle.binding.expr.ServiceInvocationException: JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: com.sun.jersey.api.client.ClientHandlerException, msg=java.lang.NullPointerException

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to OSC
2. Navigate to Leads -> Convert leads => failed to connect to ws
3. Checking runtime messages, we can see that there is an issue with calling REST API and failed with an error.

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
This is impacting business users from converting leads to opty which is the first step in the sales process and affecting overall project time lines.
