Fusion Global Payroll : Why cannot see element history as it is when the element are posted from compensation ? (Doc ID 2462597.1)

If we modify the value for one element from Compensation Plan, then in Element Entry History we can see both values .
For example for the same element you have amount_1=3.000€ (effective date 01 of january 2017) and amount_2=3.000€ (effective date 01. of January 2018) . System created 2 historical row (one from 01.01.2017 to 31.12.2017 and the other from 01.01.2018) although the element have the same input value (3.000€)----and this is expected behavior.

But if we update from the user interface (manage element entries), in element Entry History there will be just one value, the last one.

Is this expected?
