Goal

Absence Approval - LM/AOR

Employee submitted an absence request, the absence request was approved by Line Manager. Employee did not follow the approval rule that is set in place. The approval rule has not been changed in months if not more than a year. Another employee had the same experience.

The rule for employee should have a been a two person approval. The direct line manager, which it did and the AOR Shift OPS Manager, which it did not. The AOR is set up with Responsibility Type of Shift OPS Manager with a name of ShiftM_OPS Day Shift. The employee must be in business unit 'M - North Carolina' and must be assigned to department 'M_OPS Day Shift'.

We think it has something to do with the termination of one shift AOR and then AOR changed to that employees termination direct manager.

I'm also going to supply an XML output from a query I wrote using PER_ASG_RESPONSIBILITIES. I find it interesting that person number has that AOR. However, the status of that is "INACTIVE" where as the termed employee has a status of "ACTIVE". I believe this is the issue. I just don't know how to make the status change from "inactive" to "active" and retest.
