Symptoms

When a user is a member of a sub-group, where the sub-group is a member of another group (group-in-group) but not a direct member of the parent group, and the user attempts to edit the parent group to add another user and save the following error is thrown:

Remove Member
You are about to remove yourself from this group. This change does not affect membership for any other items. Are you sure you want to continue?
