Oracle Fusion Workforce Compensation Cloud Service - Version 11.13.21.07.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
We have identified the following tables and fields to house confidential compensation and payroll-related data for personnel. We have created a report in BI Publisher that pulls this information.
We anticipate creating two security roles in Fusion - Report Viewer Confidential and Report Viewer.
If a user running a BI Publisher report that access for e.g: CMP_SALARY table and SALARY_AMOUNT field and does not have the Report Viewer Confidential role in Fusion, we would like the SALARY_AMOUNT field to be not displayed in the BI Publisher report.
What is Oracle's recommendation solution for reporting security around this requirement? Can this be achieved using Fusion security roles with specific data security privileges or this requires custom VPD policy design?
