Contract Lines are Getting Renumbered After Deleting a Contract Line (Doc ID 2482663.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Enterprise Contracts Management Cloud Service - Version 11.13.18.05.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.13.18.05.0 version, Service Contract

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Contract Lines are getting renumbered upon deleting a contract Line.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Contract line numbers should be unique and with gaps (gaps were caused previously by trying to create a line and canceling mid-creation)

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Navigator>Contract page >Create contract lines > Create line 1 > Try to create a second line and cancel this action while trying to edit line contents due to user input issue (this will result in canceling a generated line number) >

> Try to create the second line again (this line will get assigned the line number 3 because line number 2 was never used as it was canceled mid-creation) > create another line which will get line number 4.

> Create another line which will get assigned line number 5

At this moment the we have 4 lines numbered 1,3,4,5

> Delete line with line number 5 > the result is that remaining lines will get renumbered 1,2,3 instead of 1,3,4.
