This article provides some tips for finding certain data problems in data import files using Microsoft Excel.  

NOTE: The steps and screenshots in this KM document are based on Microsoft Excel 2016. When opened in Excel, any data file should only be saved as a csv file.  Saving it in any other format will corrupt the file, even if it subsequently gets saved again with the csv format.
