Getting an error when accessing several Setup and Maintenance tasks

Unable to retrieve content. Additional information for "Remote Region error #6:
An error occurred while invoking task Manage Resource Roles. Review the FunctionalSetupServer logs for more details on this error. Contact your help desk.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Sign-on to Sales Cloud application
2. Navigate to Setup and Maintenance > Manage Users (or Enable Dimensions and Metrics)
3. The error occurs
