Flatten HCM Position Hierarchy Is Failing With Errors (Doc ID 2485956.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run Flatten HCM Position Hierarchy under Mode FLATTEN_SERIAL, the following error occurs.

ERROR

16:45:06.114: Inserted 0 Flattened Row(s) in (s): 451.42, Time(s) since Start: 451.44
16:45:06.114: *** ERROR *** 39793 Positions could not be flattened on account of errors. Check ESS Diagnostic Log for details
16:45:06.116: Restoring VPD Context to read only current Enterprise Data
16:45:06.116: Building Indexes on Temp Table
16:45:06.126: *** ERROR *** Creation of Indexes failed : ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object
16:45:06.128: *** ERROR *** Exception in exchange_partition: ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object
16:45:06.130: *** ERROR *** ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object


STEPS

1. Login to the application > Navigate to Scheduled Process
2. Search for the process - Flatten HCM Hierarchy
3. Run the process in serial mode
4. The process goes into error
