How To Implement Basic Authentication At Service Level In OIC? (Doc ID 2487806.1)

Last updated on JUNE 13, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Integration-OIC - Version 18.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This knowledge article reflects updated product names. Oracle Integration (OIC) was formerly known as Autonomous Oracle Integration Cloud (AOIC, A-OIC, AIC, OAIC,OIC, OAC). Please see KM document for the full list of recently renamed PaaS services.

Is there a way Basic Authentication can be implemented at service level, i.e. a specific OIC service should be accessed by only a specific IDCS user (XYZ)?

The behavior that has been noticed is that external customers who have access to one OIC endpoint and Basic Authentication Credentials can easily get endpoints of other services and run them with same user.

This can potentially lead to multiple security concerns.
