Error while using "appendViewCriteria" function

We use the new view function to fetch a certain set of data from a custom object. We receive following error and we don´t know what is wrong here. The function looks like in the documentation.

Error Codes

Exception in expression "sessiondef.oracle.apps.custom.entities.ForecastVB_c" trigger "CreateVBForecast" : oracle.jbo.expr.JIMultipleSyntaxErrors Failed to build ViewCriteria from expression "RevenueType_c = 'Projected'

Please give us a hint what we can change so that the view can be built. We already tried removing the '' from the 50, but without success.
