When Trying to Connect P6 On Premise to Primavera Gateway in the Cloud the Error "Could Not Connect to the Server" Occurs

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When attempting to Primavera Gateway in the Cloud from Primavera P6 On Premise, the following error occurs.
Could not connect to the server. Please enter valid Gateway parameters.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Primavera P6.
2. Go to Administration -> Gateway
3. Enter the API URL for Primavera Gateway the username and password for Primavera Gateway
