How to Create Approval Rules Which Go to Different Approvers Depending on Whether the Requestor is a Line Manager or a Human Resource Specialist (Doc ID 2499650.1)

Goal

In this example, the customer's business requirement is that when an employee is to be terminated, the approval is routed differently depending on the person requesting the termination.  The desired approval routing is as follows:

If the requestor of the termination is the Line Manager of the employee being terminated, then the approval needs to be directed to someone with the Human Resource Specialist Job role.

If the requestor of the termination is a Human Resource Specialist, then it needs to be self-auto approved (no need for any higher approval).

The goal of this document is to explain how this be achieved via the approval rules.
