Goal

Starting from update 13.18.C there are external transaction created for foreign currency exchange difference.
“CREATE EXTERNAL TRANSACTION FOR FOREIGN EXCHANGE GAIN OR LOSS The Create External Transactions for Exchange Gain or Loss feature is used to automatically create separate external transactions for reconciliation differences arising from exchange differences and bank charges.”

 

There are two cases

1. reconcile 1 statement line with 1 payment - system creates external transaction for foreign currency exchange. It uses currency gain/loss account set-up at bank account.
2. reconcile 2 statement lines with 2 payments - system creates external transaction for reconciliation differences and not external transaction for foreign currency exchange gain/losses.
