Symptoms

When attempting to generate a snapshot for the environment, the following error occurs:

An unknown error has occurred. Please contact system administrator
Error while trying to take snapshot System failed to create backups.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Admin Home Page.
  2. Click on "Logs" next to Migration.
  3. Click on Create snapshot.

After a minute or two the migration will fail
