Ability To Remove Unwanted Search Fields from Advanced Search List

we are trying to do a clean-up of the list of fields available when doing an Advanced Search per object . There are a
lot of fields available in list which are not relevant to
business purposes and hence we would like to remove them from the List of fields available for searching .

However it appears that one cannot control all the fields listed in Advanced search.
1) We are seeing that fields show up in Advanced Search but cannot be found in App Composer>Object Name>Fields (Custom
tab or Standard)

2) Fields are present in App Composer>Object Name>Fields (Custom + Standard), but they do not respond to the "Searchable
" setting,unchecking the Searchable Checkbox makes no difference and the field continues to show up in Advanced Search,
despite un-ticking the Searchable checkbox
